Location: San Francisco, CA

Another strange manmade protuberance along SF's coastline near the Golden Gate.  There are seemingly a thousand mysteries to unfold along this short stretch of coast.  This mushroom-like hunk of metal sticks straight out of bare rock.  Not a plant, but it somehow looks like one.
