skid row

Location: Pescadero, CA, USA

My goodness have I found a lot of car tires along the California coast.  Perhaps testament to this state’s love of the automobile?  I found a whole stash of them on a beach just north of Año Nuevo State Park, and set them up in a row to try to do something a little different.  Per the usual, waited until almost dark and hit each of them individually with flashlight combined with a very long exposure.  Had to move the tires over and over again in order to get just the right distance between them to line up with the rocks behind.  And what do you call bald tires in a row?  Okay, maybe the title is a bit corny, but I couldn’t resist.
