​This images changed everything for me.  I was a photography student at the time I took it (1995), and had been experimenting with many different cameras.  When I got this shot, I knew I was really onto something with the panoramic format.  Everyone always asks where it is - if you look closely, you can actually see the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.  This old building has all but washed away by now, including the cypress trees in the foreground.  Interesting how quickly things can change along the coast.  What perfect timing to have caught it when I did, and even better with the graffiti that graced its front at that point in time.
