rush hour

Some images in this series came about by seeing two or more images I had shot and then integrating them to make something new.  This image was something I saw in my head before i had the pieces.  The first shot I did was of me, dressed in a suit, jumping high in the air while holding a briefcase (my daughter took the shot, I believe - thanks, Taylor!).  Next I found a city street to my liking, and added some petroglyphs alongside the inner city graffiti.  the last piece to the puzzle was the hardest to find - the river - which was something I was not expecting.  I took two trips to the Sierras but couldn't find a river that as big enough and had boulders stretching across it.  It wasn't until I was in Pucon, Chile, about four months later that I came upon the perfect final scene - and thank goodness I had my 4x5 in the car!
