This was the beginning to one of the best days of surfing of my life. I woke up early and snapped this shot of an empty Bundoran Peak shortly before paddling out. The tides are so extreme in Ireland that you have to know exactly when to hit a particular spot. By 9 AM, The Peak had shut down, so I scored a mid-tide secret spot, then hoofed it up to Pampa at high tide, then back to The Peak for the evening low tide session. My wave count that day must have been in the hundreds - and I got some pics to show for it, along with some very sore shoulders.
