Location: Chile

Creepy, right?  This is one of the most beautiful bits of coast on the planet, in a very remote part of Southern Chile.  But as with anywhere, human remnants you will find - if you look hard enough.  This doll’s arm was wedged in a crevice between boulders near a shore with fiercely pounding surf.  I fished it out of its hiding place and brought it out into the sun, then waited for the latter to dip beneath the horizon.  Then I carefully lit the spooky plastic playtoy with a snooted flashlight and let the rest of the scene imbue its characteristic dose of majesty.  I’m not sure where the title came from; I just thought the word described the scene.
